"Balkan derby" in Skopje

Duels of Vardar and Metalurg last three seasons are among the fiercest and most uncertain, and rightly received the primacy of "Balkan derby". The draw wanted both teams to meet each other in the first round of SEHA League.

After three years of domination of Metalurg, new Macedonian champion, Vardar makes major changes in the management and players. They sign new coach, sports director and more players with ambitions to keep the championship trophy in SRC Kale.

Both teams from Macedonia this season will play each other at least six, and up to 8 times depending on whether they will secure place in Final Four Tournament of SEHA league and domestic Cup.

Everyone expect duel in Struga on tournament in August, but Vardar unexpected lost from Ivry.. Now is the time for "showing" strength.

Metalurg coach, Lino Chervar announced that SEHA League will be a place where players who play less to gather more experiences.

- We will use SEHA to use for our players to have more experiences. Each season we want to be better. Now the league lead efforts to have sponsors to improve the whole organization. It is still a pioneering work, and it will take some time, but should be praised all by now, that said Lino Cervar .

Similarly consider Zoran Kastratovic, the coach of Vardar.

- Overall SEHA League will have opportunities to play more games, and to use to prepare for forthcoming challenges, like Champions League, and the match on 21 September against Barcelona. We do not feel any pressure, and this is just first game this season. Most importantly is to play with complete roster, to show our abilities and gave some interesting game for the fans in hall, says Zoran Kastratović coach of Vardar .

 

Vardar without goalkeeper Malumbres - brothers Markoski uncertain for Metallurg

The latest reinforcement to Vardar, goalkeeper Inaki Malumbres will not play the first match of SEHA league against Metalurg because because it is not registered for Vardar, and still wait documents for transfer from Spain to Macedonia. Back player Milos Dragas is free agent, while others remain to compete for a place in the squad.

The biggest problem for Metalurg coach Lino Chervar are injuries of brothers  Nikola and Velko Markoski. Left-back has problems with hand, while his brother, line player Nikola complained of fingers. After the last training coach Lino Chervar will decide on the team composition.

 

Serbian teams meet in Belgrade

Serbian team Partizan and Vojvodina will meet in the first round on Saturday at Banjica.  It will be the second tied match in this week, due to the fact that two teams met in Wednesday evening in the Super Cup. In the battle of the first domestic trophy, Vojvodina was more successful.

 (26-22). Partizan announced that on Saturday it will be different.

"This is a great opportunity for our young team to gain experience, and chance for older players to increase their experience. All this is a great preparation for the spring part of the season when we will join the National championship, and I hope - SEHA League final play", said Aleksandar Brkovic, coach of Partizan.

Vojvodina miss to qualify for group matches in EHF Champions League, but show that their performances are on high level, and will be hard rivals for every team in SEHA league.

 

 

 

Borac with problems against Lovcen

At the opening of the new SEHA season, Borac Banja Luka will meet Lovćen. Team from Banja Luka returned recently from Novi Sad where participate in qualification tournament for Champions League, but also with many injured players.

Nemanja Bezbradica cut the arcade, but he will probably play. Mirko Mikic a broken nose while Branislav Obradovic has problem form previous season, and both of them will not playt.

- We are not sure also about Igor Rađenović who complains of knee pain, but we'll see. Only experienced player who remains in combination is Srdjan Trivundza. We will do our best to put the heart on the field, said Borac coach Bojan Crnomarković.

Kasim Kamenica, coach Lovćena faced with similar problems in the team, and emphasizes that match in Banja Luka to be primarily a battle for self sonfidence.
