Five time SEHA – Gazprom League winner, Vardar 1961 will start next season with a new coach. Veselin Vujovic made a return to the club where he already had a lot of good results. Vujovic led Vardar for the first time from 2006 to 2009, and then again from 2011 to 2013. Vardar team won the first title in SEHA League in 2012, with Vujovic being their head coach. Before taking up this job, he coached Borac Banja Luka, PPD Zagreb, Koper, Zeleznicar Nis, Ciudad Real, Partizan and also worked as national coach of Yugoslavia, Macedonia and Slovenia.

"This is my third mandate and I hope it will be as successful as the previous ones. Major changes happened in Skopje after I left the last time, but my relationship with club and fans did not change, I was always here. Vardar were European champions twice and became a brand in Europe, a club that everyone knows. I am honored to be here again. I know that president Mihajlovski's goals are always higher than the objective ones, and I, as a coach, always want more than planned. Vardar survived a difficult situation. Mihajlovski saved the club and I hope it will now proceed in the right direction. My comeback to Macedonia feels like being home again. I can't wait for the preparations to start, and we will try to solve everything on an ongoing basis," said Vujovic.
