CO Zagreb managed to grab the third place

F4 - CO Zagreb - Tatran Prešov 2

Last SEHA GSS League’s winner CO Zagreb has managed to stay onpodium with 36:28 win over Tatran Presov in third-place match in Novi Sad.

Zagreb was playing completely different than against Vardar on Friday. It seemed like Tatran was playing the match for only 13 minutes. On half-time CO Zagreb has already had a good advantage of +6 over their Slovak rivals, with their defense too strong for Tatran’s shooters.

After 17 minutes in the second half Zagreb was already +9 ahead with 29:20. However, they did not stop playing well because they have wanted to show that a loss to Vardar in semi-final was only a bad day for them.

Sandro Obranovic was man of the match with 11 goals for CO Zagreb.

Kristopans was once again Tatran’s best scorer with 6 goals, Krupa had 11 saves.

Peter Hatalcik, Tatran’s coach:
- I’d like to congratulate Zagreb. All players were perfect, starting from goalkeeper to wingers. I have to say that better team today has taken the victory and third place in the end. I’m of course not happy with my team’s performance, we’re exhausted from the semi-final clash against Meshkov. We weren’t on required level, especially in defense, but now it is too late to talk about that.

Andrej Petro, Tatran’s player:
- We’ve played very bad during the whole F4 weekend. We were playing much better during the regular season but we were not, here in Novi Sad, able to show our true value. I’m really sad about our result here.

Boris Dvorsek, CO Zagreb’s coach:
- We’ve finally managed to play we agreed before the game, and managed to forget game from Friday against Vardar. Now my team was "real", and showed our actions from training. We’ve played modern handball, with good defense and very good shooting percentage. I believe that we in the
end have to be pleased with this SEHA GSS season.

Sandro Obranovic, CO Zagreb’s player:
- Key was that we’ve played as team, and not as individuals. I’d like to congratulate to Tatran, but also to my teammates.
