SEHA in Champions League – remarkable PPD Zagreb, Vardar and Meshkov

Six SEHA League's clubs have last week opened Champions League's campaigns. Three victories, one draw and two losses.

Best performances were in the first round reserved for PPD Zagreb and Vardar. Zagreb were better than German THW Kiel with 29:22 in Group A (Stepančić and Horvat 6 goals each) and Vardar have grabbed 2 points in France playing against Montpellier (Dibirov and Maqueda 6 goals each).

Third win was one from Meshkov in Group C over Vojvodina. Dominant 34:22 victory with Vukić, Kristopans and Stojković scoring 5 each for Belarus team and Rastvortsev netted 7 for Vojvodina.

Veszprem reached a draw in Group A in Plock against Wisla - 27:27. Nilsson scored 6 goals.

By Vojvodina' upper mentioned loss Tatran have also failed to stun favorized opponent losing 33:23 on road against Porto with Furlan scoring 7 for guests.

In the next round PPD Zagreb will in Group A travel to Slovenia to meet Celje and Veszprem will host Flensburg. In Group B Vardar will host Hungarian PICK Szeged and in Group C Vojvodina will play at home against Chehovskie Medvedi with Tatran and Meshkov having SEHA clash of Champions League's Round 2.
