Celje PL top Tatran as Zarabec scores 6 with 7 assists

Celje Pivovarna Lasko has managed to reach another SEHA victory in their premier season. On Saturday night they were with 25:31 better than Tatran in Presov where it is always tough for anyone to take points from.
It looks as if it was an easy job for Slovenian champions but true story behind the match is quite different. After 30 minutes result was 11:11. Hosts were able to keep the gap closed until 10 minutes before the end when amazing Zarabec took the game in his hands leading Celje on 6:2 run scoring 4 important goals in that period and deciding the match for his team. Blaz Janc was once again his team's best scorer for the day with 7 goals. On the other side Krok was once again leading Tatran with 7 goals, Urban added 4 and handed out 6 assists.
In the next round both teams will go on road with Celje traveling to Bosnia and Herzegovina to meet Izvidac CO and Tatran will go to Croatia to face NEXE.

I would like to congratulate Celje on their victory. We have to admit they were better today. They had higher shooting efficiency in attack. Unfortunately no one of our players managed to play 60% of their performance in attack. We were close until 10 minutes into the second half. Oliver Rabek is ill and I did not want to risk anything with him although he is one of our most important players and we missed him. Well deserved win for Celje.

I could not play tonight. It was an equal game in the first half. We did not manage to play good in opening five minutes of the second half. Celje went up and we were not able to catch them.

The game in Presov was not easy at all. We've played very well in this game. Tatran are a good team, we've seen them beat Gorenje. I'd like to congratulate them on qualifying to CL and good performance today. We wish Tatran all the best in this new season.

It was a tough game. We've started well in defense but we had too many problems in attack. In the second half we were stronger on court. We still played good defense and improved our display in attack. That is the reason why we've scored more goals and won the game.
