EHFEC finals first leg match in Novi Sad

Serbian champions Vojvodina will host first leg match of the EHF European Cup finals. The second leg match will be played in Norway. The final matches will be played from 28 May and 3 June.
 

On their way to the finals, Vojvodina beat Sweden’s Alingsås HK at home, after losing in the first leg match in Sweden. In Slana Bara, Vojvodina's goalkeeper Fran Lucin was a key factor for the victory 32:24. Nærbø IL played against Sandefjord in the Norwegian derby.  Nærbø were better in the first leg (29:27), but Sanderfjord took revenge against Nærbø, 33:31 in regular time in the second leg match. Still, Nærbø won the post-match shootout 5:3 and book the ticket for another EHF European Cup finals for the second year in a row.
 
Vojvodina’s top scorers are Barys Pukhouski (47 goals), Milos Grozdanic (38 goals) and Milan Milic (38 goals). When it comes to Nærbø IL, Theodor Svensgård has 54 goals, Tord Haugseng follows him with 47 goals and John Thue with 46 scored goals.
