Izvidjac looking to stun in Velenje

Izvidjač bo v Velenju iskal poti do presenečenja

Gorenje

The only match of SEHA Gazprom League scheduled for Wednesday (18.00 CET) in Velenje, will be the perfect chance for home team Gorenje to escape the crisis and celebrate second win in regional competition after home triumph over NEXE Nasice. Slovenian runners-up have made a change on head-coach position on Tuesday with Borut Plaskan coming instead of Marko Sibila after a bad start in regional competition but also a failure in EHF Champions League qualifications.

That will be a chance for the new coach to start with a win with Bosnian best team Izvidjac standing on the other side of the court after good performances against both PPD Zagreb and Celje PL in front of thousands of enthusiastic fans on home-court.

Zdenko Grbavac, Izvidjac Ljubuski coach:
Match in Velenje will be our first chance to play a good game as visitors. I think that Gorenje are ideal opponents because they've changed a lot of players in their team since they were knocked out of EHF Champions League. We see that as our chance in this match.

David Mandic, Izvidjac Ljubuski player:
We are ready and fit for Velenje. We've watched some of their games in video analysis and if we stop their backline and best players Toskic and Brumen, we will have a good chance in this game.

Borut Plaskan, Gorenje Velenje coach:
We expect to win this match. We know that Izvidjac are not a weak team. On home court they've played really good against Celje Pivovarna Lasko and Zagreb. Our team must show better defense and be simply annoying to them, persistent. I want for our players step on the court with smiles on their faces and show everything they can.

Niko Medved, Gorenje Velenje player:
We will play on our home court. We've in previous matches seen Izvidjac has good team but we want to win this match.
