Time for revenge in Presov as Tatran host Izvidjac

Čas odvety v Prešove, kde Tatran privíta Izvidac

Tatran Presov - Izvidjac CO

A little more than 15 days ago Izvidjac have managed to reach their premier, and so far the only, SEHA Gazprom victory this season at home against Tatran. It was 33:28 and there is no better motivation for Trtik’s team then that, especially after they have managed to catch a big CL point a few days ago away against Elverum. It is however also sure that young and ambitious team of Ljubuski won’t go all the way to Slovakia to surrender as they are surely ready for a big fight all the way until the final whistle. Do guys from Bosnia and Herzegovina really have secret tactics on how to beat Tatran or was their duel in Ljubuski a one-time wonder? Match is scheduled for Tuesday (18.00 CET).

Rastislav Trtik, Tatran coach:
We have to overcome the fatigue from the recent trip to Elverum and concentrate on the game versus Ljubuski. We would like to please our fans in TATRAN Handball Arena with a good performance and victory. I believe we will manage it.

Lukas Urban, Tatran player:
Ljubuski are an unpleasant rival. They’ve proved that on their home court several weeks ago. We’ve played a very tough game in Elverum on Sunday. We are coming back home on Monday evening and playing Izvidjac quite soon. We will not have any time to rest. Despite of that we want to win this and take three points.

Zdenko Grbavac, Izvidjac CO coach:
Our goal is, as always when we play away from home, to play best we can and try to reach a positive result. With such ambitions we’ve managed to stay close for 40 minutes in Celje with their experience becoming visible in the end. I’m pretty sure Presov are not as good as Celje which we’ve proved in Ljubuski beating them so I believe in case we manage to deliver a good defensive performance we can expect a positive result in this match.

Kristijan Jarak, Izvidjac CO player:
We’re going to Presov without any pressure on our back, to play as good as we can and in case we manage to play like we did in the first half against Celje and improve our second-half performance we might at least reach a point or even all 3.
