Goluza: "We were patient waiting for our five minutes"

Slavko Goluza

Nexe - Tatran Presov 23:27 (15:13)

(Srsen 8, Sipic 3, Koncul 3, Jelinic 3 / Cip 7, Lapajne 6, Butorac 6)

Hrvoje Horvat, NEXE coach:
In the first half we played with a lot of spirit and that's exactly the way I want us to look throughout full course of the match. Smaller rotation was a problem for us in the second half. We were not able to find a proper back solution and that's the main reason we scored only 8 goals in the second half. In addition to that we've also had this bad period in the end of the second and on the other hand Tatran played smartly and patiently punishing all of our mistakes. I hope we'll find strength to play whole matches in the future like we did in the first half today. Our fans deserve that.

Kristian Pilipovic, NEXE goalkeeper:
I believe we prepared well for the match. We opened it good enlarging the gap in the beginning but somehow lacked focus and strength to keep it open in the second half. We need just a bit more time and I'm sure we'll be better in the next match already.

Slavko Goluza, Tatran coach:
We did what we came for, hoping it will be enough for three points. We have some minor health issues in the team but despite of that goal was to win this. Our defense was very static in the first half, we simply lacked tempo. However, we were patient waiting for our five minutes. I'm glad to be here in Nasice again. Fans saw a good match and that's another thing that satisfies me.

Igor Chupryna, Tatran goalkeeper:
We were a little bit nervous during the first half. We listened to what coach had to say during the break and played with a lot more patience in attack in the second half. I'd like to congratulate my team on a good match.
