Jovic: "Each player must give his best to end negative streak!"

Metalurg - Tatran Presov

Metalurg will on Tuesday in SEHA - Gazprom League host Slovak champions Tatran Presov. Match is of high importance for both teams - hosts are on one hand in desperate need of points to end the bad series and guests are on the other eager to keep up the good form and keep on making steps towards F4 tournament. Teams are waiting for the match in quite different moods as well. Tatran proved good form with a win over Fahnafjordur in EHF Cup Qualification Round 3 leg one and Metalurg on the other side suffered yet another CL loss falling short against Motor Zaporozhye at home.

Tatran are currently second-placed team in SEHA Gazprom League and the goal is to continue winning series and stay in race for what would be their fourth participation on F4 tournament. Team plays as a collective without a real star but with whole lot of motivation under new coach Slavko Goluza. So far they are on the right track. They already experienced playing in Skopje this season falling only four goals short against reigning both European and SEHA champs Vardar.

Metalurg on the other hand lost all credits and the only way to convince fans that the team can play on a competitive level against serious teams is to start winning points. Last SEHA game in which they managed to achieve points is now more than two months behind and situation is not much better in CL either as they are currently going through a four game losing streak.

Aleksandar Jovic, Metalurg coach:
It is obvious that we're experiencing a crisis in both EHF Champions League and SEHA Gazprom League but I hope we'll end that series against Tatran on Tuesday. Each player must look to give his maximum as I'll try to force the rotation and see what each of them can bring to the table.

Kostadin Petrov, Metalurg player:
We are obligated to show much more than in previous matches but also to pay back to our fans. We must do our best to justify the trust of both the club and our fans.

Slavko Goluza, Tatran coach:
We're expecting a very tough game in Skopje. Metalurg players are favourites on their court in my opinion. However, we will prepare best we can for this match. We want to play our best match in - match out and we'll put maximum effort in to win this important game.

Bruno Butorac, Tatran player:
Considering the fact we played EHF Cup game on Saturday and that we have only two days to prepare for the game against Metalurg, the match in Skopje will be very tough. Metalurg are a very young perspective team as well as we are. If we want to qualify for F4 SEHA Gazprom tournament we have to win games. I believe we will manage to win this match if we play the way we have played this SEHA League season so far.

Match will be broadcasted on Arena Sport channels, EHF TV, Sport TV (Slovenia) and MRT (Macedonia).
