William Accambray to join Meshkov Brest this summer

Belarus champions Meshkov Brest, announced a new reinforcement for the upcoming season: the French international star William Accambray will be joining the Belarus side this summer.

Former Olympic, World and European champion with the French national team has a rich handball club history. European giants Montpellier, Paris Saint-Germain, Telekom Veszprem and Celje PL have all been his handball home for the past years and he has now decided to join another Champions League club, Meshkov Brest.

Aged 17, he joined the French club Montpellier in 2005, current Champions League title holders and played for them until 2014 when he decided to sign for PSG spending three seasons wearing the Parisian jersey and then a transfer bomb hit the media when he decided to make a European tour and change Paris for Veszprem. After a season in the red jersey, the left back has been loaned to Slovenian Celje PL and has now signed a one-year contract with Meshkov Brest.

He was the 2nd French player, after his former national team colleague Igor Anic to play in Celje. Accambray will be the 3rd French player in the SEHA – Gazprom League history.
