Tatran Presov – Slovakian gem on the rising path

Tatran Presov

Tatran Presov are going to represent Slovakian handball once again in the 9th edition of the SEHA – Gazprom League. They have been a part of the SEHA family from the early beginnings. The opening season went great for them as they managed to secure  their appearance at the Final 4 tournament. They were a part of the four best teams for the second time in the season 2013/2014. In the past eight seasons in the SEHA – Gazprom League, Tatran have constanlty been improving as a team.

Beside being a part of our League, they have also had a fair share of great achievements at home. They were crowned the Slovakian champions 12 times and were on top of the domestic Cup multiple times.

Well known former player and amazing coach, Slavko Goluza will continue to lead his team for the 3rd season. In the upcoming season he will continue to perfect their tactics and playing style.

The next season is going to bring more challenges as they will be a part of the EHF Champions League as well as the SEHA – Gazprom League. Slovakian gem will seek their chance for winning the first ever SEHA trophy in the Group A alongside reigning champions Vardar and Croatian vice-champions Nexe who will be their biggest opponents.

They have also faced a lot of novelties in their roster. The team welcomed Josef Hozman who previously played for Topolzany and Javier Munoz Cabezon from La Rioja. Rares-Marian Fodorean, young David Michalka and former Koper left back, Nino Grzentic will also strengthen the Slovakian team in the following season. On the other hand, Tatran said goodbye to one of their amazingly talented right back, Bruno Butorac who will continue his handball journey in Tremblay. Michal Kasal, Jakub Hrstka and Ante Babic also parted ways with the Slovakian team.

All these new reinforcements will help the familiar Tatran's faces to move forward. Amazing Dominik Krok and precise Janus Lapajne with the help of Lukas Urban and Igor Chupryna will be there to guide their teammates in their attempt to get back on the top.

The refreshed team will have to work hard in the upcoming season if they want to secure another Final 4 tournament. And bringing all these new reinforcements might give them that extra push towards becoming SEHA champions for the very first time.
