The previous, eighth season of the SEHA – Gazprom League has left us with many memorable moments. From amazing regular part of the season to spectacular Final 4 tournament in Brest. Vardar once again stole the show as they managed to secure their fifth SEHA trophy and crowned the season in the best possible way. 

In order to top the last season, the 9th edition of the SEHA – Gazprom League brings a lot of novelties. Not only have we welcomed a lot of new faces in the SEHA family, we also introduced a new playing system that is going to ensure a lot of positive changes. The four stages of competition will deliver more excitement and handball enthusiasts will be able to enjoy many great matches. The number of participants in the 2019/2020 season has also expanded as twelve teams listed in two groups, Group A and Group B will compete for the title. 

Five-times SEHA champions, Vardar, are going to defend their SEHA title. All of the other last season's Final 4 participants: Croatian champions and SEHA – Gazprom League vice-champions, PPD Zagreb and Nexe are going to try once again to finish at the top. Belarusian team Meshkov Brest have the same goal. Two participants from the previous season, Serbian champions Vojvodina and Slovakian champions Tatran Presov also booked their tickets for another SEHA season. 

The upcoming, 9th SEHA season will be exciting as never before. Four new teams are going to join the SEHA – Gazprom League for the first time. One of them are the Ukrainian champions Motor Zaporozhye and the other team is Eurofarm Rabotnik from Bitola. The third newcomers in the upcoming season are Beijing Sport University from China. The fourth team that will be featured in the SEHA – Gazprom League for the first time are Russian Spartak. Besides new members, two former SEHA – Gazprom League participants will return to the competition. The most succesful Hungarian team, Telekom Veszprem and Metaloplastika Sabac from Serbia will seek their chance in our League after missing a few seasons. 

Fans all over the handball world will have the chance to unite in order to cheer and support their favourite players and teams. Another season of togetherness, fair play and good handball is ready to start!
