EHF Cup: end of competition for Vojvodina and Metaloplastika

Two SEHA – Gazprom League participants, Vojvodina and Metaloplastika did not manage to go through to the 3rd qualification round of the EHF Cup. With two defeats in the 2nd qualification round, both teams said goodbye to the rest of this competition. 

After a 20:28 (7:14) loss in the first leg of the 2nd qualification round, Vojvodina faced another defeat. In the second leg of that round, Abanca Ademar Leon were once again better than Serbian champions. This time the end result was 30:23 (12:13). Even though Vojvodina had a good start of the match and were up by one goal at the half-time, the home team played better in the second half and secured win in the end. 

Serbian vice-champions, Metaloplastika also did not manage to make a comeback after their first defeat against Gorenje Velenje. In the second leg, Slovenian team secured a 32:29 (15:16) victory on the home court. Just like Vojvodina in their match, Metaloplastika also played better in the first half. But, the home team stepped up their play in the second half and secured another victory.
