Serbian Metaloplastika will travel to Moscow as a part of their upcoming SEHA – Gazprom League match. On Wednesday, 16th of October, Serbian vice-champions will meet with the newcomers from Russia, Spartak. The clash is scheduled for 7 PM (CET).

This will be the clash of two teams that are currently placed on the bottom of the table in Group B. With one victory and two defeats, Metaloplastika are holding 5th place. On the other side, Spartak are placed on the 6th position with zero points.

Both teams met with well-known SEHA clubs in the previous round. Spartak played good against Telekom Veszprem. Even though they were down by 6 goals at one point, the newcomers from Russia made a complete comeback and even got in the lead at the start of the second half. In the end, they didn't manage to secure a victory, but they showed great team spirit and skills. The previous round was incredible for Metaloplastika as they managed to secure a sensational victory on the home court against Belarusian champions Meshkov Brest.

With such results behind them, each team will be motivated to continue good play and to show their best on the court.

Oleg Kuleshov, Spartak coach:
We’ve got enough information about our opponent. We know strong and weak points of Metaloplastika. This team prefers high-speed attacks, so we paid special attention to our defense. We focused on our play during the period of preparation. We tried to fix mistakes that we made in the previous match against Dynamo Chelyabinsk. The atmosphere is our team is great. Everyone is ready to show great handball and to please the fans. Injured players are still recovering. We are waiting for their return.

Vladislav Korshunov, Spartak player:
Matches in the SEHA - Gazprom League are always very interesting and intense. Metaloplastika are a very good team. In the last round they beat Meshkov Brest. The coaching staff explained to us how to defend against fast attacks of Metaloplastika. In the upcoming match we need to make fewer turnovers and be more aggressive in the defense. I can’t say that I am very nervous before this game. I'm looking forward to a great, but tough match.

Veselin Vukovic, Metaloplastika coach:
It is up to our young team to try their best and produce a favorable result, thus gaining serious experience, if possible by winning.

Borivoje Djukic, Metaloplastika player:
We will go there with great confidence and motivation and we will do our best to come up with a favorable result for us.
