PPD Zagreb have on Thursday announced signing of Croatian national team player, right winger Vlado Matanovic. Matanovic signed a three-year deal with the “Lions“ which, as he said, is a dream come true for him.
“I've been following PPD Zagreb ever since I started playing handball and now that I'm here I only want to prove what I'm capable of and help the club! It will be an honor to wear this jersey“, concluded 24-year-old Matanovic who will join the club in the summer of 2020.
Matanovic shined in Croatian national team jersey a month ago in two matches against Germany. However, he's managed to reach his first big trophy all the way back in 2013 with Croatia finishing second on a U-19 WCh in Hungary. After that he continued with solid outings in Croatian league which eventually in 2018 helped him sign a contract with Slovenian Gorenje Velenje where he, two months ago, scored 18 goals in two matches against Metaloplastika in EHF Cup Qualification Round 2.
