EHF EURO 2020, Day 6: end of competition for North Macedonia and Ukraine

North Macedonia and Ukraine have played their last matches of preliminary phase in Group B. Both of them faced defeats and said goodbye to the EHF EURO 2020. Macedonians ended the competition with one victory and two losses while Ukraine ended competition with three defeats. 
 
(Group B) Austria - North Macedonia 32:28 (18:12)

North Macedonia have ended preliminary phase in group B with loss against one of the hosts, Austria. Macedonians were holding good until somewhere around 15th minute. After that, Austria significally improved their play and set 8 goals advantage. At one point, they were 10 goals up. Macedonians managed to decrease such gap in the end but it wasn't enough for the win. Stojanche Stoilov carried his team today with 5 goals. Bojan Madzovski added three, while Dejan Manaskov and Martin Velkovski each netted once for North Macedonia. 
 

(Group B) Ukraine - Czech Republic 19:23 (10:9) 
Ukraine finished preliminary phase with a third loss. This time, Czech Republic were better wth 23:19 end result. Ukraine were holding great during the whole match. They were one or two goals down at times. But, the motivation from ther side was obvious on the court. In the end, last 10 minutes proved to be cruical as Czech Republic made 4:0 series and secured a gap that was enough for the victory. Artem Kozakevych once again played great and scored 4 goals for Ukraine. Vladyslav Ostroushko netted 3 times, while Stanislav Zhukov, Dmytro Doroshchuk and Zakhar Denysov netted two times each.
