Zagreb win SEHA derby, Nexe stun Montpellier, Eurofarm reach second position

Motor Zaporozhye

Final week of European club competitions in 2021 is now behind us which also means it’s time for our final weekly recap of the year. Let’s get into it!
EHF Champions League

In Group A, PPD Zagreb have managed to celebrate in another SEHA – Gazprom League derby defeating rivals from Skopje – Vardar 1961. In an incredibly narrow match, Zvonimir Srna netted the decisive goal for the ‘Lions’ in their 23:22 win in the end. Dino Slavic was great between posts with 12 saves. Meshkov Brest, on the other hand, managed to stun favored group leader Montpellier at home securing 31:31 draw in the end. Mikita Vailupau led them once again with nine goals while Baptiste Bonnefond netted six.

SEHA representatives in Group B unfortunately weren’t in such a great mood. Veszprem, which was offensively led by Gasper Marguc and his six goals in this one, suffered a 30:27 loss away from home against Flensburg while Motor Zaprozhye ended up losing 33:29 versus Dinamo Bucuresti in Romania. Viacheslau Bokhan and Aidenas Malasinskas netted six each for Ukrainians.
