Veszprem chasing 12th victory to keep the streak alive

MKB-MVM Veszprem - Tatran Presov 16 (14/15)

Hungarian MKB MVM Veszprem want to extend their winning streak with 12th triumph in regional SEHA GAZPROM South Stream League against Serbian best side Vojvodina Novi Sad on Thursday, 17:00 CET. Team led by Spanish coach Antonio Carlos Ortega showed domination in regional competition and they want to finish the year strongly. On the other side, Serbian champions will surely give their best to show good performance and solid resistance against clearly favorized hosts in ’Veszprem Arena’.

Marko Šešum, Vojvodina’s coach:

We are preparing for the last match of the year and we are going to play against one of the best teams in the world. This is a huge challenge for us and we’ll try to show our best. We’ve played the first match of the season against Veszprém so it will be interesting to see improvement team’s have reached since then.

Miroslav Kocić, Vojvodina’s goalkeeper:

We know Veszprém are absolute favorites tomorrow but our goal is to stay close to them as long as possible. We are very glad that we can play in such an arena and city where everybody loves handball so much. This is a great opportunity for preparation because in the beginning of the next year we will play against strong teams in EHF’s Cup.

Antonio Carlos Ortega, MKB-MVM Veszprém’s coach:

We did not have much time to prepare for this match but we have to remain focused despite of the fact this is the last match this year. Our goal is to keep 100% winning ratio in SEHA GSS League and that should be the only thing we think about. Vojvodina have very good defence, they have reinforced since our last match and it won’t be easy.

Mikler Roland, MKB-MVM Veszprém’s goalkeeper:

Obviously our team is a little bit tired at the end of the year but for us the most important thing is to reach both Final Fours  - CL’s and SEHA GSS League’s. IN order to do that we have to take each match seriously and I’m sure that’s exactly what we’ll do tomorrow. We respect Vojvodina but expect a victory.
