Spartak Vojput - Maks Strumica

Spartak Vojput celebrated the second win in SEHA GAZPROM League. Serbian vice-champions have managed to beat Macedonian runners-up Maks Strumica 26:18 (13:8) easier than it was against Borac in their first success in the regional competition. However, the final result doesn't express reality of what fans could see at "Dudova šuma" hall in Subotica. Branislav Zeljković guys made highest advantage in last few minutes.

Mladenovski leveled result of the match for the last time in 19th minute (6:6), followed by furious finish of the home team securing them +5 - 12:7 before the half time buzzer.

Macedonians didn't give up in the second half. Experienced Čanturija and Pecakovski have managed to put their team closer after five minutes on 14:12. Spartak's TOP scorer Bojan Županjac (7) scored a few goals in a row for +5 of his team - 20:15.

Crucial advantage of home team was reached on wings of two back-line players, Djekic and Rakocija, who netted important goals to break the rival's resistance - 24:16 (57.)

Branislav Zeljković, Spartak Vojput' coach:

- We witnessed fair-play thanks also to our rivals. We have been a little bit nervous because of fatigue and lack of selfconfidencedue matches in EHF Cup.  We began to play better and took control over result until the end. I gave a chance to all the players. I am mainly satisfied with our performance tonight, but we will try to improve something after analysis. I want to praise our goalkeepers, where we had some problems in the last few matches.

Milan Knežević, Spartak Vojput' player:

- Congratulations to our rivals on a fair approach and my team on the fighting spirit. We did all what was agreed before the match and that was a reason for a win. We will give maxium against Veszprem in the next match.

Marjan Andonov, Maks Strumica' player:

- I want to congratulate our rivals for deserved victory and my colleague Zeljkovic who did a great job with his players. They had discipline and played like they wanted. I can’t tell you so much about my team. It’s going worse every next match. If we don’t change something, we won’t make anything.

Alen Kulenović, Maks Strumica player:

- Congratulations to our rival on a fair match. We came to play an open match with Spartak, but at the end result didn’t show that. We have to consolidate and try to win points on home court. It will be difficult in away matches. Now, we are waiting for the match with Nexe.
