Tatran Presov - Vardar 22:29 (8:10)
(Rabek 6 / Dibirov 5; Kugis 14 saves)
Slavko Goluza, Tatran Presov coach:
Congrats to Vardar on deserved win. In the first half we put up a good fight and kept contact with them. In the second half, we started good but then followed with mistakes that lead to easy goals in our net. Once Vardar secured bigger advantage, we gave a chance to our very young players and I am happy for them to get the feel of playing against such quality team.
David Michalka, Tatran Presov player:
We played good in the first half, Igor kept us in the match with great saves. It´s a shame we missed some chances to keep the result even better. In the second half, we didn´t do what we agreed on, to be patient in attack. This resulted in mistakes that such team punishes. We must learn some lessions from today's match.
David Jose Pisonero, Vardar coach:
The match had a good rythm in the first half, it was a hard-fought encounter. In the second half, we improved attack and gained advantage against the home team. We expected a hard match as it is always the case in Presov and I am bit surprised and satisfied that we ended with such goal difference at the end.
Domen Sikosek Pelko, Vardar player:
We came tired to this match as we had a match on Sunday, so we expected this will not be easy. Tatran Presov are a tough opponent so it feels good to win here. Also young players got a chance to play so we can be happy about that as well.
